Shyne was released from prison today after serving an 8 year sentence. Shyne was charged in March 2001 with attempted murder, assault, and reckless endangerment. Shyne admitted to firing a gun at a new york night club which Diddy and Jennifer Lopez also attended. Shyne has since changed his name to Moses Michael Leviy and converted to Judaism while serving his bid.
UPDATE: Shyne’s release is currently under review he is being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at an unspecified facility in Western New York State. Officials are determining whether or not to deport the rapper, who was born in Belize.
