Black Friday Shopping turns UGLY!!!
It’s never that serious to save a couple dollars on a LCD TV.
A Wal-Mart worker was killed Friday when “out-of-control” shoppers desperate for bargains broke down the doors at a 5 a.m. sale. Other workers were trampled as they tried to rescue the man, and customers shouted angrily and kept shopping when store officials said they were closing because of the death, police and witnesses said.
Hosea Thomas convicted of MURDERING T.I.’s Bestfriend…
CINCINNATI — T.I. made the painful trip back to Cincinnati to testify on Friday morning (November 21) in the murder trial of the man police claim shot and killed the rapper’s childhood friend and assistant, Philant Johnson, two years ago.
Taking the witness stand for just over 40 minutes in Judge Ralph E. Winkler’s courtroom on the third floor of the Hamilton County Courthouse, T.I. (born Clifford Harris) explained the chaotic scene on the night of the May 2006 incident.
He also stoically recalled the pain of breaking the news about Johnson’s death to his friend’s mother and 5-year-old daughter. He only occasionally looked out into the courtroom to lock eyes with 34-year-old Hosea Thomas, who is charged with murder, felonious assault and other charges in the shooting, which also injured three other members of T.I.’s entourage. T.I. told the jury that while he didn’t see the shooters, he knew the shots were meant for him.
STEPHON MARBURY TURNS HIS BACK ON THE KNICKS and IS SUSPENDED FOR ONE GAME…
Damn in this recession Stephon you should be happy you got a job. But we don’t know for how much longer tho.
Whether these are the final days of Stephon Marbury’s sad, bizarre and ultimately unsuccessful career with the Knicks is up to Garden chairman James Dolan and Knicks president Donnie Walsh to decide. It is hard to imagine that they will allow this debacle to continue much longer.
Knicks head coach Mike D’Antoni and his players already have made up their minds about Marbury, who in the span of six days twice refused to play in games and as a result dramatically changed the public’s perception of him. Instead of being cast as a sympathetic figure who was buried unfairly on the bench by D’Antoni, Marbury is now the poster child for the malcontent professional athlete.
Quentin Richardson summed up the mood inside the Knicks’ locker room following Wednesday’s loss to Detroit when he said of Marbury, “I don’t look at him as a teammate.”
